Disasters Exercise at Dresden Airport (DRS)

September 16, 2017

Every two years, each International Airport must perform a disaster exercise. Also this time, the fire brigade of Dresden (Berufsfeuerwehr) uses this exercise to simulate a mass attack of injured persons, there were over 200 rescue service personnel involved. This year was the scenario of a collision of an passenger bus with an airplane. The EFW Dresden provided a Thai Airways Airbus 330 (D-AAEC) for this purpose. After two hours the exercise was finished successfully.
